J&K is set to establish a dedicated Project Monitoring Group (JK-PMG) on the lines of the National PMG to strengthen monitoring of mega development projects and resolve execution bottlenecks.The institutional framework for replicating the national mechanism in the UT was presented before Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo, by representatives of the National PMG. The proposed mechanism will improve project oversight and inter-departmental coordination, enabling timely intervention in matters related to land acquisition, clearances, approvals and other implementation issues.CS stressed leveraging technology for real-time, milestone-based monitoring to track progress, identify gaps and support informed, data-driven decisions.
